About the Event

FDPPI (Foundation of Data Protection Professionals in India) is a Section 8 company limited by guarantee registered under the Indian Companies Act 2013.

 

FDPPI is spearheading the movement on privacy and data protection for the last 5 years through various initiatives like webinars, seminars, workshops, and publications. In the past, FDPPI’s Chairman, Shri Naavi and Director, Shri Ramesh Venkataraman, have conducted several work-shops for the benefit of professionals across diverse verticals and industries including members of  CIOKlub. These workshops and seminars have been conducted in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Pune, Ahmedabad and Coimbatore. In addition, FDPPI regularly conducts virtual Jnana Vardhini sessions with industry experts. These initiatives have been providing in-depth knowledge and exposure on the intricate provisions of DPDP Act 2023.

 

Based on the feedback from CIOKlub members including numerous other professionals, the work-shops scheduled in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai are being opened to public participation for the benefit of their respective organisations.

Mr. Na Vijayashankar

Vijayashankar Nagaraja Rao who is popularly known as Naavi, is a pioneer in the field of Cyber Laws in India. Having started his journey into Cyber Laws in India in 1998, Naavi is a thought leader and contributed significantly to the development of Cyber Jurisprudence in India. He is the founder of www.naavi.org which is the premier portal on Cyber Laws in India and has many unique services related to Cyber Laws including Cyber Evidence Archival Center and Online Dispute Resolution Center. He is also an academician having authored several books/E Books on the subject of Cyber Laws, is a visiting faculty in several leading academic institutions in the country and also the founder director of Cyber Law College which is a  virtual institution dedicated to the development of Cyber law education in the country. Naavi has been instrumental in creating many other organizations working in the area of Cyber Law as founder secretary/chairman. He is also a Netizen activist with a lifetime mission with the motto “Let’s Create a Responsible Cyber Society”
